MOVING

through prostate cancer together

The Butts' mission is to help improve the survival, and quality of life, of men diagnosed with prostate cancer through fitness, support, and camaraderie
WHAT BUTTS DO
WHO BUTTS ARE

Prostate cancer will strike 1 in 8 men every year.  Studies have shown that one of the very best medicines for helping to prevent and possibly cure this disease is having a fit body. The best way to a fit body is through regular exercise.

The 'Butts in Motion' goal is to provide a variety of different activities to achieve a fitter you.

We started as a men's dragon boat team called 'Butts in a Boat.' We have now expanded into many other fitness activities. There is no pressure, it's not competitive and there is no need to be super fit to participate.

This support group includes guys of all ages and at all stages of treatment, and their partners.

We have regular social activities, which include partners, such as picnics, pool and snooker tournaments, the occasional dinners, and pub nights.

Anyone who has prostate cancer is welcome to join the group. It's just what the doctor ordered!

Exercise is the single most effective non-pharmaceutical intervention for prostate cancer.  Staying active can provide huge benefits both physically and mentally.

And you're more likely to stick to an exercise routine if you enjoy it and do it with people you enjoy being around.
